Bilal Hasan set for UFC debut against Nilson Rojas in Shanghai

MMA fighter Bilal Hasan, known as ‘The IndoNinja’, is set to make his UFC debut against Peru’s Nilson Rojas at UFC Fight Night in Shanghai, China, on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The bout is part of the event's main card at the Oriental Sports Center.

Hasan, a 25-year-old fighter of Indonesian descent, secured his exclusive UFC contract following a dominant performance on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10, where he defeated Mridul Saikia in 45 seconds. He enters the promotion with an impressive eight-fight winning streak, with all victories coming via finish.

In preparation for the flyweight bout, Hasan has emphasized a balanced approach to physical and mental training. He noted the importance of mental discipline through reading and prayer, alongside a specific diet involving noodles, pasta, or pho to manage his weight and energy levels. His training has also been supported by MMA legend Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson.
