Bileća horse race incident investigation reveals suspected accomplices

New details have emerged regarding the investigation into an incident at traditional horse races in the village of Bijeljani near Bileća. Authorities have classified the case as an attempted murder after Željko Vujović allegedly used a vehicle to intentionally strike three individuals. The victims were treated at the Trebinje Hospital.

Investigators are now looking into the roles of several accomplices. Marija Ivković is suspected of collecting vehicle parts that fell off the car following the collision. Goran Čubrilo is suspected of assisting Vujović in his escape; investigators believe Vujović abandoned the vehicle at one location, which Čubrilo then transported to another.

In addition to Vujović, Mirko Samardžić has been arrested. Police brought Čubrilo and Ivković to the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Trebinje on August 23 to continue the legal proceedings.
