Bilecik Municipality Council debates sewage odors and municipal debt

During a Bilecik Municipality Council meeting, AK Party Group Spokesperson Onur Şeker raised several concerns regarding local infrastructure and municipal finances. Şeker questioned Mayor Melek Mızrak Subaşı about a persistent sewage odor in the Çınarlar district, suggesting it might be caused by the mixing of rainwater and sewage lines.

Additional inquiries included the need for more trash containers across all neighborhoods and the current state of road and sidewalk repairs in the Hürriyet and Bahçelievler districts. Şeker also addressed allegations regarding the municipality's debt to the Social Security Institution (SGK), which is reportedly near 450 million lira. Mayor Subaşı stated that the specific debt amount would be provided in writing.
