Bill Maher to attend second White House dinner with Donald Trump

Comedian Bill Maher announced on his ‘Club Random’ podcast that he has accepted an invitation from President Donald Trump for a second dinner at the White House. Maher revealed the news during a conversation with WME chairman Ari Emanuel, noting that the invitation arrived unexpectedly.

Maher described the President as being ‘really nice’ during their recent communication, stating that Trump promised not to speak poorly of him as he did following their previous meeting. Maher compared the President’s tendency to use insults to the comedic style of the late Don Rickles.

During the discussion, Maher expressed his belief in the importance of engaging with political figures with whom one disagrees. He noted that while some on the far left might decline such opportunities, he views the private setting as a chance to voice opinions directly to the President.
