Bill Murray to star in new Irish golf documentary series

Actor Bill Murray will star in a new six-part documentary series titled ‘A Course Called Ireland’, set to premiere on Paramount+ on October 25, 2026. The series follows Murray and author Tom Coyne as they travel through the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland to explore the country’s golf courses and local communities.

Inspired by Coyne’s bestseller of the same name, the 30-minute episodes combine golf, comedy, and travel. Murray is joined by a group of friends and family, including his brothers Joel and John Murray, actor Chris O’Dowd, comedian Joanne McNally, and NFL star Jason Kelce. The project is described as a celebration of “life going off course,” focusing on unscripted moments and chance encounters.

The series is produced by Stellify Media and Skydance Sports, with Casey Scharf and Morgan Roberts serving as showrunners and executive producers. While the global premiere is slated for Paramount+, the series will also be available via the BBC in the United Kingdom.
