Bill & Ted franchise announced for new arcade-style video game
Art of Play and Roditeli Productions have announced a new video game adaptation titled Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure: Arcade. The project marks the franchise's first appearance on current-generation consoles. The game will be available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Set in a 16-bit pixel art style, the side-scrolling action-adventure game features Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan traveling through time to prepare for a history presentation. Players can play solo or in local co-op mode. The gameplay includes 15 levels and various mini-games featuring historical figures such as Socrates, Napoleon, and Beethoven.
Original film stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are set to provide the voices for their respective characters. A crowdfunding campaign on BackerKit is scheduled to launch in February 2027, offering backers various tiers including digital and physical copies, apparel, and merchandise. The production is supported by a partnership with Creative Licensing Corporation.
