BILLA opens 175th store in Bulgaria with €1.5 million investment

BILLA has expanded its presence in Bulgaria by opening its 175th store in the Malinova Dolina district of Sofia. The new facility covers 1,051 square meters and offers over 9,000 products, representing an investment exceeding €1.5 million.

The store features a focus on fresh offerings, including a meat and fish counter, premium cheeses, and produce from the ‘BILLA Gardens’ program. The location will be operated by a team of 30 employees trained at the BILLA Academy.

Senior management from REWE Group and REWE International AG attended the opening, including REWE Group CEO Lionel Souck. Leadership from BILLA Bulgaria, including CEO Albena Georgieva, noted that the company views Bulgaria as a market with significant growth potential and intends to continue expanding in both large cities and smaller residential areas.
