Billboard Canada announces Women in Music honourees

Billboard Canada has announced the honourees for its upcoming Women in Music celebration, scheduled for November 24 at Rebel in Toronto. The event aims to recognize women making significant contributions to the music industry across various roles, including artists, songwriters, and executives.

Summer Walker will receive the Global Visionary Award, while Bebe Rexha has been named the Global Hitmaker for her work as both an artist and songwriter. Cardi B was previously announced as the Billboard Canada Global Woman of the Year.

Other recipients include Melissa Bubb-Clarke, Live Nation’s chief commercial officer, who will receive the Executive of the Year award, and Kristy Fletcher, president of MusiCounts and COO of CARAS, who will be presented with the Impact Award. The Rising Star award will go to R&B artist Chxrry, the second Canadian to receive the honor.

This third edition of the ceremony is described by Billboard Canada as its largest to date.
