Billboard Latin Music Awards 2026 announces finalists

Several artists have been named finalists for the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards, which are scheduled to take place on October 22 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami.

Mexican cumbia group Grupo Cañaveral, led by Humberto Pabón and Emir Pabón, is a finalist in the Tropical Artist of the Year (Duo or Group) category. The nomination follows successful chart performances between September 2025 and September 2026, including the track ‘Qué Bello’ with Marisela, which reached number one on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart.

Venezuelan singer Danny Ocean has been named a finalist for Latin Pop Artist of the Year (Soloist). His nomination follows the release of ‘Babylon Club’ and the EP ‘babylona blue’. Ocean, who recently completed a European tour, also noted plans to donate tour proceeds to support organizations in Venezuela.
