Bille August presents “Me, you” at Rome Film Festival

Director Bille August presented his film “Me, you” at the Rome Film Festival. Based on the novel by Erri De Luca, the story is set in 1950 on a small Italian island and follows a 14-year-old English boy who falls in love with a young Jewish woman orphaned during World War II.

August described the film as a story of love between two people from different parts of the world who share a sense of abandonment caused by war. The cast includes Kolbjorn Skarsgard, Sonia Ammar, and Massimiliano Caiazzo.
