Billigheim-Ingenheim: Woman killed in fatal knife attack

A 53-year-old woman was killed following a knife attack in the Ingenheim district of Billigheim-Ingenheim on Friday evening. The incident occurred at approximately 19:32.

According to the Rheinpfalz Police Headquarters, a 60-year-old man from the same community allegedly inflicted injuries so severe that the woman died despite resuscitation efforts by emergency services. The suspect was apprehended by responding police officers without resistance.

The Landau Public Prosecutor's Office and the Ludwigshafen Criminal Police are leading the investigation into the circumstances and motives of the killing. The relationship between the victim and the suspect remains unknown.
