Billionaire investors shift AI holdings and Regis Resources reports record profits

Recent regulatory filings reveal shifting strategies among billionaire money managers regarding artificial intelligence hardware. In the second quarter, eight prominent investors, including Ken Griffin of Citadel Advisors and Steven Cohen of Point72 Asset Management, reduced or exited their positions in Micron Technology. This selling activity follows a period of significant growth for the memory and storage provider, which saw its stock price quadruple between late March and late June.

While some managers exited Micron, others increased their holdings in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing.

In the Australian market, Regis Resources Ltd reported a record net profit after tax of $715 million for the full year. Following the implementation of a new dividend policy targeting a payout of 25% to 50% of the group cash increase, the gold producer declared fully franked final dividends of 20 cents per share, which includes a 5 cent special dividend.
