Billy Corgan brings Mellon Collie orchestral show to Madrid

Billy Corgan, founder of The Smashing Pumpkins, is bringing his “A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness” show to Madrid. Following the initial sell-out of both dates, a limited series of new tickets has been released for the performances scheduled for September 11 and 12 at the Vistalegre Palace.

The production commemorates the 30th anniversary of the band’s iconic double album by transforming it into a stage experience that blends rock with opera, choir, and a symphony orchestra. The new arrangements and orchestrations were developed by James Lowe in collaboration with Corgan. The show features orchestral reinterpretations of classic tracks such as “1979” and “Tonight, Tonight”.

Costumes for the production were designed by House of Gilles, a haute couture brand led by Chloé Mendel Corgan and Gilles Mendel. This European tour follows a series of sold-out performances at the Lyric Opera in Chicago.
