Billy Konstas named in Greece squad for 2028 T20 World Cup qualifiers

Greece has included 24‑year‑old Australian‑Greek Billy Konstas in its 14‑player squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2028 European sub‑regional qualifier C, scheduled in Finland from 14 to 21 August. Konstas, who works as a cricket coach and physiotherapist while playing grade cricket in Sydney, is the older brother of Australian Test opener Sam Konstas. The Hellenic Cricket Federation (HCF) also announced the selection of fellow Greek‑Australian players such as leg‑spinning all‑rounder Blake Faunce, with efforts under way to secure the participation of Blake Nikitaras and Peter Hatzoglou. Greece will compete in a group that includes Germany, Portugal, Bulgaria, Czechia, Finland, Isle of Man, Israel, Luxembourg, Spain and others, seeking a place in the next stage of qualification for the 2028 T20 World Cup that will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
