Billy Strings releases ‘So Much for Goodbyes’ album

Bluegrass artist Billy Strings has released his fifth studio album, ‘So Much for Goodbyes’. The record serves as a profound meditation on grief, heavily influenced by the death of his mother following a drug overdose.

Strings, a multi-Grammy winner known for blending traditional bluegrass with psychedelic improvisation, stated that he created the album to honor his mother and use music as a coping mechanism for his heartbreak. The album’s artwork was created by his late mother.

The project features his longtime band members, including Billy Failing, Royal Masat, Jarrod Walker, and Alex Hargreaves, and follows a period of significant commercial success for the artist, including his previous album ‘Highway Prayers’ topping the US album sales charts.
