BİM reaches settlement with Turkish Competition Authority

BİM Birleşik Mağazalar A. Ş. has reached a settlement with the Turkish Competition Authority regarding two separate investigations involving retail companies and suppliers.

In the first investigation, the Authority determined that the company did not violate Article 4 of the Law on the Protection of Competition regarding restrictive agreements and concerted practices, resulting in no administrative fine.

In the second investigation, the company entered a settlement process. As a result, BİM was issued an administrative fine of 67,217,829.62 TL. By opting for early payment, the company will benefit from a 25 percent discount, reducing the final amount to 50,413,372 TL.
