Bimbo receives Lifetime Achievement Award at The Papandayan Jazz Fest

The legendary Indonesian music group Bimbo received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th annual The Papandayan Jazz Fest (TPJF) on October 3, 2026, at The Papandayan Bandung Hotel.

Active members Sam Bimbo and Jaka Bimbo accepted the award alongside family members, including the daughter of the late Acil Bimbo. Sam Bimbo expressed that the recognition serves as motivation to continue creating better work rather than marking an end to their journey. He noted that the appreciation creates a reciprocal relationship where the group feels compelled to respond with more mature musical works.

Cerika, daughter of Jaka Bimbo, expressed gratitude to the family, friends, and music enthusiasts who have supported the group across generations. The family also extended thanks to organizers and figures including Surya Paloh, Mirdal Akib, and Boby Renaldi for their support.
