Binali Yıldırım calls for joint production along Middle Corridor
Binali Yıldırım, President of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), has called for the establishment of joint production facilities and common logistics centers along the Middle Corridor. Speaking at the Turkish World Dialogue Forum in Ankara, Yıldırım emphasized that the Middle Corridor should be viewed as more than just a transport route, describing it as a corridor of prosperity, economy, history, and culture.
Yıldırım noted that the Middle Corridor possesses the highest value-added potential compared to northern and southern routes. He highlighted the possibility of increasing the volume of goods transported via the corridor to 30 million tons and stressed the need to shorten transit times and improve intermodal transitions.
He further stated that the OTS should work to identify the strengths and weaknesses of member states to better utilize their respective advantages within this economic model.
