Binali Yıldırım joins traditional harvest festival in Bayburt's Demirözü

The Harman Şenliği harvest festival was held in the wheat fields of Beşpınar village, Demirözü district, Bayburt Province. Organized by the Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum, the event showcased traditional agricultural tools used about a century ago, with participants harvesting wheat to folk songs.

Former Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım attended, demonstrating the use of a scythe, reaping wheat and operating a threshing board. He toured the museum, discussing the preservation of Anatolian cultural heritage. Museum founder Kenan Yavuz highlighted the festival’s aim to promote cultural tourism and encourage younger generations to protect local traditions. Visitors from various Turkish cities experienced the historic farming methods and enjoyed a concert of regional folk music.
