Binance adds five altcoins to monitoring tag, warning of potential delisting

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has expanded its monitoring watchlist to include five specific altcoins: Moonbeam (GLMR), ICON (ICX), Moonriver (MOVR), SuperRare (RARE), and Sophon (SOPH). The application of these tracking tags signals increased scrutiny regarding the tokens' market performance, project development, and compliance with exchange standards.

Binance warned that tokens under this tag exhibit significantly higher volatility and risk compared to other listed assets. The exchange noted that these projects are closely monitored and could face delisting if they fail to meet ongoing listing criteria. Evaluation factors include team commitment, development activity, trading volume, liquidity, network security, and smart contract reliability.

Following the announcement, some of the affected altcoins experienced price drops of approximately 10%. Among the flagged assets is ICON (ICX), a South Korean blockchain project previously referred to as the ‘Korean Ethereum’ during the 2017-2018 market rally.
