Binance bStocks and tokenized equities see rapid growth in DeFi
The market for tokenized equities and real-world assets is seeing rapid growth across major blockchain ecosystems. Binance reported that its bStocks product, which offers 1:1 tokenized representations of U.S. securities, surpassed $1 billion in assets under management (AUM) within four months of its June 2026 launch. The product has facilitated over $40 billion in cumulative trading volume.
Simultaneously, tokenized stocks issued by Coinbase have seen significant deployment within decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols on the Base platform. These assets, which include fractional shares of companies like Apple and Nvidia, reached approximately $262.4 million in DeFi applications by late September, marking an 18-fold increase since the start of the year.
Other blockchain networks are also seeing high activity. Robinhood Chain surpassed $100 billion in cumulative decentralized exchange volume following its July launch, driven largely by high activity in September. Additionally, Uniswap reported its highest monthly protocol revenue of $14.81 million in September 2026, with Robinhood Chain contributing over half of that total.
