Binance Ethereum Reserve Increase Highlights Weakening Large‑Investor Activity

CryptoQuant data show that Binance’s on‑exchange Ethereum holdings rose from about 3.64 million ETH to 3.87 million ETH – an addition of roughly 221,000 ETH – since the end of June. While the reserve buildup does not directly indicate selling, it means more ETH is readily available for trade on the world’s biggest crypto exchange.

At the same time, activity from large investors has slowed. Average high‑volume trade size fell from around 1,500 ETH in mid‑May to roughly 1,000 ETH, suggesting institutional and high‑balance participants are taking a more cautious stance. This reduction in big‑player trading could reduce order‑book depth and amplify short‑term price swings.

Technical data from TradingView place ETH at about $1,777, with support near $1,700‑$1,750 and resistance above $1,900‑$2,000. Indicators are mixed: MACD shows bearish momentum easing, while the RSI remains below its midpoint, pointing to continued seller dominance. Analysts warn that without renewed buying from major investors, the larger on‑exchange supply could pressure prices further.
