Binance halts transactions with 17 crypto platforms in multiple regions

Binance has announced a phased restriction on transactions involving 17 cryptocurrency-asset service providers and platforms across several jurisdictions. The exchange cited regulatory compliance requirements for the move, though it did not specify the exact regulatory developments prompting the restrictions.

The restrictions were implemented in stages. As of August 7, Shelbit General Trading LLC (operating in the UAE and Iran) and Aban Tether Exchange (Iran) were affected. On August 13, restrictions were applied to A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa, and PilotFinance Ltd in Nigeria.

Starting August 23, the list expanded to include Rapira and Aifory Pro in Georgia, ABCeX (linked to El Salvador and Georgia), WhiteBird and Tradex in Belarus, and NoOnecrypto INC. Other affected entities include Monease Ltd and EXMO Ltd in the UK and Europe, BitPapa in the UAE, Exnode and Exnode Pay in Georgia, and HTX (Huobi Global SA).

Binance warned users that any transactions attempted with these entities on or after the effective dates may be held for compliance review. The exchange also noted that such activity could constitute a breach of its terms of use.
