Binance Leads Surge in Tokenized Real-World Asset Trading
Binance now dominates centralized exchange trading of real‑world assets (RWA), handling about 60.9% of the year‑to‑date volume and roughly $450 billion in perpetual contracts. The platform’s broader financial services—payments, savings and digital asset custody—support over 316 million registered users and have processed more than $280 billion in payment volume.
Tokenized equities are experiencing rapid growth, with on‑chain stock transfers up 105% in the past month to $8.41 billion and the sector’s distributed value rising to $2.16 billion. The number of holders increased 17% to over 409 000. Major crypto exchanges such as Kraken, Bybit and Bitget have added tokenized pre‑IPO offerings, while traditional finance players, led by DTCC’s tokenization pilot, are bringing Wall Street firms into the on‑chain market.
Overall RWA trading is approaching the $1 trillion mark for 2026, driven by tokenized commodities, equities and other assets. The convergence of crypto platforms and regulated financial institutions suggests that tokenized assets are moving from experimental projects to a core component of global digital finance.
