Binance.US launches near‑zero fees to regain U.S. crypto market share
Binance.US CEO Stephen Gregory announced that the exchange will charge 0% maker fees and 0.02% taker fees on all spot trading pairs, a move intended to recapture the roughly 20% market share the platform held before a two‑year period of regulatory headwinds. The fee structure, described as near‑zero, aims to attract retail and high‑frequency traders who have faced higher costs on rivals such as Coinbase, Kraken and Gemini.
Gregory said Binance.US operates as an independent, U.S.-focused entity with its own governance and licensing, while still leveraging the global Binance brand’s liquidity. The low‑fee strategy is part of a broader comeback plan that includes pursuing additional licences for crypto derivatives and other products, and expanding services like custody to grow revenue beyond trading fees.
