Binge begins production on Australian comedy Tough Love
Production has commenced in Sydney for Tough Love, a new eight-part Australian original comedy series for the streamer Binge. Created, written by, and starring Rick Donald, the series also features Miranda Otto in the lead role of Kerry Hart.
The comedy follows Kerry Hart after a cancer diagnosis, as she attempts to prepare her three adult children for life without her. The cast includes Rick Donald as Shane, Liz Kingsman as Steph, Hugo Johnstone-Burt as Rodney, and Jay Ryan as Mick.
Directed by Trent O’Donnell and Madeleine Dyer, the production is a Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia project for Foxtel Group. Principal funding is provided by Foxtel and Screen Australia, in association with Screen NSW.
