Binghamton to host annual Italian Festival and parade

The city of Binghamton will host its annual Columbus Day Parade and Italian Festival in the downtown area on October 12, 2026. The event, which has been a local tradition for over 60 years, celebrates Italian-American heritage through music, food, and community gatherings.

A key feature of the celebration is the Tournament of Marching Bands. The parade will begin near the intersection of Main and Arthur streets and conclude at the Broome County Courthouse. This year, five high school marching bands from New York and Pennsylvania will compete, with judging based on music, color guard, and drum major performances. The Binghamton High School Steel Drum Band is scheduled to lead the music segment.
