Binh Thanh Bridge project nears 50% completion in Hue
The Binh Thanh Bridge project, spanning the Huu Trach River at the upper reaches of the Huong River in Binh Dien Commune, Hue City, is progressing toward completion. After five months of construction, the project has reached approximately 50% of its workload.
With a total investment of over 75 billion VND, the new 500-meter bridge is designed to replace the existing Binh Thanh suspension bridge, which has significantly deteriorated over years of use. The new structure will feature a 254-meter bridge section, 8.5 meters in width, and six beam spans. The project also includes integrated road access, drainage systems, and an intersection with National Highway 49.
The Hue City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board aims to complete the work by December 31, 2026. This accelerated timeline would reduce the total construction period to approximately one year, compared to the original three-year plan.
