Binissalem's Festa des Vermar delegation received by Mallorca leaders

The delegation for the 60th edition of the Festa des Vermar from Binissalem was received by major regional institutions in Palma this Wednesday. The group, led by Binissalem Mayor Joan Víctor Martí, included local councilors and festival participants.

President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, met with the delegation at the Consolat de Mar. She noted that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the festival and the 25th anniversary of the 'trepitjadors'. Prohens highlighted the introduction of new traditional costumes specially made for the occasion and noted a historic level of youth participation.

Additionally, the President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, received the group at the Council's audience hall. Galmés described the festival as a deeply rooted tradition that has become a beloved celebration for many residents across the island of Mallorca.
