Biobío Cine Festival announces 12th edition lineup

The 12th edition of the Biobío Cine International Festival will begin on November 2 at the Teatro UdeC. The opening film will be ‘La Película del Rey’, the debut work of Argentine filmmaker Carlos Sorín, which will be presented in Concepción for the first time.

The festival will also feature a retrospective of Sorín’s work titled ‘Marginales’, including the films ‘Historias Mínimas’ (2002), ‘Bombón, el Perro’ (2004), and ‘Joel’ (2018). These works explore themes of dignity and the experiences of marginalized communities.

Running until November 7, the festival has introduced a new graphic identity inspired by cinema and comics, featuring the character Trapeñi.
