Biobío Education Seremi holds participatory public account in Cañete

The Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Education (Seremi) of the Biobío region held its 2026 Participatory Public Account in Cañete at the Leoncio Araneda Figueroa School. Led by Seremi Teresa Carrasco Molina, the event aimed to inform citizens about institutional progress, results, and challenges regarding public education quality and territorial relevance across the region's three provinces.

During the session, students from Liceo B-56 (Liceo José de la Cruz Miranda) presented a letter expressing concerns regarding what they described as disproportionate punishment applied by local authorities to a teacher. The students noted the irony of discussing positive educational results while the teacher in question had contributed significantly to the school's regional prestige and achievements.
