Biobío government launches citizen dialogues on organized crime

The Seremi de Gobierno in Biobío has initiated a series of citizen dialogues coordinated by the Division of Social Organizations (DOS). These meetings, held in areas such as Villa Los Huertos in Boca Sur, aim to socialize the Agenda against Organized Crime and Terrorism (ACOT) with local residents.

The initiative seeks to explain national legislative projects and gather direct feedback from citizens regarding neighborhood security. Residents have expressed concerns that crime impacts their quality of life, local commerce, and community stability. The government, led by President José Antonio Kast and regional presidential delegate Julio Anativia, has prioritized these demands to improve state presence and provide better tools for preventing and prosecuting criminal organizations.
