Biobío Region promotes cultural heritage and artistic networks

The Biobío Region is implementing several initiatives to promote cultural circulation and heritage. As part of the 15th anniversary of the ‘Biobío en 100 Palabras’ literary contest, organized by CMPC and Fundación Plagio, four free heritage tours will be held throughout October. These activities combine visits to historical sites with creative writing workshops designed to help participants transform their observations and memories into short stories.

Scheduled locations include the Galería de Concepción, the Proyecto Baldosario, Casa Poli in Tomé, and the Muro Historia Concepción. These tours aim to connect residents with the history and identity of their surroundings.

Additionally, a delegation of cultural managers and programmers from the Biobío Region is participating in the sixth edition of ‘AMA Maule: Vincular para Crear’ in Talca. This meeting, held between October 6 and 8, serves to strengthen ties between artists, cultural spaces, and managers from the Biobío and Maule regions. The goal is to expand collaboration networks and create new opportunities for the circulation of regional artistic proposals.
