Biocircular Innova project receives sustainable development award
The Biocircular Innova project has been honored by the University of Seville with a Sustainable Human Development Recognition. The award, presented in the category of International Cooperation Projects for Development, recognizes the initiative's efforts to improve food security through the circular economy.
Based in El Paraíso, Honduras, the project focuses on repurposing agro-industrial waste to produce flours for food and biodegradable bioplastics. The initiative involves the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) through its El Paraíso Campus, alongside Spanish institutions and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
