Biographical profiles of Czech figures Dana Hlaváčová and Magda Lokvencová

Biographical accounts highlight the lives of Czech figures, including actress Dana Hlaváčová and Magda Lokvencová.

Dana Hlaváčová, known for her role in ‘Three Wishes for Cinderella’ (1973), chose to step away from the intense Prague acting scene to focus on family life in Mladá Boleslav. The reports note a long-standing professional and personal estrangement between Dana and her more famous sister, Jana Hlaváčová, which prevented them from reconciling before Jana's passing.

Magda Lokvencová, a director and the first wife of a political figure, grew up in an intellectual environment. After losing her mother to tuberculosis at a young age, she was raised by her father, a multilingual colonel. Her early life was marked by an interest in music, theater, and politics, influenced by her time at a gymnasium in Banská Bystrica.
