BioParque Vale Amazônia jaguar cub makes first public appearance

Xingu, a jaguar cub born at BioParque Vale Amazônia, has reached seven months of age and has begun making his first public appearances. The cub is currently undergoing a gradual adaptation process to an expanded enclosure, always accompanied by his mother, Marília, under technical supervision to ensure his well-being.

This birth is considered a significant milestone for species conservation. Xingu is the seventh jaguar cub born at the BioParque in the last 12 years and the third to possess Cerrado genetics. His parents, Marília and Zezé, were rescued from illegal captivity and cannot be released into the wild due to their history of human influence. Instead, the family participates in educational efforts to raise awareness against animal trafficking and promote wildlife conservation.
