BioStack raises $9.5 million for medical AI data infrastructure

Healthtech startup BioStack has secured $9.5 million in a seed funding round led by Peak XV Partners, Afore Capital, DCVC, Emerson Collective, SV Angel, Verdict Capital, Streamlined Ventures, and Y Combinator.

Founded in 2025 by Sanat Mishra and Parth Patwa, the company aims to build data infrastructure for medical AI by consolidating fragmented clinical information, including electronic health records, medical imaging, clinical notes, and medications. The company intends to use the capital to scale its technology stack, increase hiring in engineering and research, and expand its international presence in markets such as the US, India, Brazil, and Argentina.

BioStack currently operates with hospitals in the US, Brazil, and Argentina, and is working in India to connect cancer patients with an investigational vaccine program.
