Industrial AI edge platforms launched by BIOSTAR and Supermicro

BIOSTAR announced the EdgeComp MS‑NAT5000, a compact edge AI system built around NVIDIA’s Blackwell‑based Jetson Thor T5000 module. The platform delivers up to 2,070 TFLOPS of FP4 AI performance, supports 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 14‑core Arm CPU and a range of industrial interfaces including 100 GbE, RS‑232/422/485, CAN‑FD and multiple NVMe slots. BIOSTAR targets the system at smart‑manufacturing, visual inspection, predictive maintenance, autonomous robots and other on‑premises AI workloads.

Supermicro expanded its AI‑at‑the‑edge portfolio with new Intel‑powered solutions. The lineup features fanless DIN‑rail‑mountable units using Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and integrated GPUs/NPUs delivering up to 180 TOPS, as well as mini‑tower and 1U rack servers equipped with Intel Core Series 2 CPUs and Intel Arc Pro or NVIDIA RTX Pro GPUs. These systems offer up to 128 GB DDR5 memory, high‑bandwidth storage, and rugged temperature ranges, aiming at retail, manufacturing, security, transportation and logistics applications.
