Biotech expert releases research on bitter melon sequenced 19 peptide
Biotechnology expert Dr. Xu Bangkui has released a new book, ‘Decoding the Key to Activating Metabolic Management: The Sequenced 19 Peptide from Bitter Melon’, detailing research into specific bioactive components of bitter melon.
Through protein research, digestion simulation, and peptide fragment analysis, the research team identified a specific peptide sequence composed of 19 amino acids, referred to as the ‘sequenced 19 peptide’. This identification allows for more precise molecular-level analysis of raw materials compared to general bitter melon powders or extracts, providing a foundation for standardized quality specifications.
During the book launch, experts including Dr. Pan Min-hsiung from National Taiwan University and Dr. Chen Tao-ming from the Taiwan Association of Complementary Medicine discussed the importance of scientific verification. They advised consumers to look beyond general ingredient labels and instead verify specific amino acid sequences, source clarity, and the scientific evidence supporting a product's efficacy to ensure precise nutritional intake.
