BioWare designer urges leadership to grant autonomy for Mass Effect

Former BioWare cinematic designer Armando Troisi has expressed confidence in the development of the next Mass Effect title, provided that leadership allows the creative team autonomy. Troisi noted that because many core members from the original games remain on the project, the team possesses the necessary expertise to succeed.

Troisi emphasized that the primary challenge lies in whether executives will “get out of the way and let game creators just do their thing.” He suggested that trusting staff is essential for creating high-quality, large-scale projects. The next installment in the series has been in active development since its initial announcement in late 2020.
