BIPA expands Romanian presence with new stores and hiring

German-owned drugstore chain BIPA, part of the REWE Group, is expanding its retail network in Romania. The company has announced plans to open new locations in Popești-Leordeni (Ilfov), Craiova, Păuleștii Noi (Prahova), and Sânpetru (Brașov).

To support this expansion, BIPA is actively recruiting for various positions, including store managers and sales assistants. Recruitment efforts are focused on candidates with sales and team leadership experience. The company offers benefits such as private medical insurance, meal vouchers, gift vouchers, and additional vacation days.

Since entering the Romanian market in January 2026 with its first store in Bucharest's Mega Mall, BIPA has grown to nine locations, including sites in Chiajna, Târgoviște, Sfântu Gheorghe, Bran, Slobozia, Pitești, Năvodari, and Giurgiu. Future expansion plans also include Slatina, Chitila, and Târgu Secuiesc. BIPA positions itself as a low-price retailer specializing in beauty, personal care, health, and household products, competing directly with the German retailer dm.
