Birdbuddy launches Nook smart bird feeder with AI species recognition
Birdbuddy has released a new line of smart bird feeders, headlined by the Birdbuddy Nook. Starting at $99, the Nook model is designed for beginner bird-watchers and offers AI-driven species recognition features through a mobile app without requiring a subscription.
The Nook features a 2K-resolution camera with portrait and landscape orientations and a 3.8-cup capacity. A solar-powered version is also available for $159, which is recommended for maintaining battery life. Additionally, the company introduced the Birdbuddy Home mode for $219, which includes a larger 6-cup capacity and increased perching space.
Other smart bird feeder options in the market include the TT Nature 1.5L solar-powered model, the Birdfy series from Petco and PetSmart, and the Aoibox AI-powered feeder.
