Birdbuddy releases redesigned Birdbuddy Home smart bird feeder

Birdbuddy has released the Birdbuddy Home, a smart bird feeder priced at $299. This third major release features a full redesign from previous models, including a wider and deeper housing with a birdhouse aesthetic.

Key hardware improvements include integrated solar panels built into the roof to prevent cable damage from wildlife, a larger capacity battery, and a redesigned rear seed door that is twice the size of previous versions for easier refilling. The device also features a new circular, magnetically attached camera capable of switching between widescreen and vertical captures.

While the device offers a curated approach to bird watching and most features are available without a monthly subscription, it faces increased competition from lower-priced alternatives like the Birdfy Rookie.
