Birdie launches indoor air quality monitor

Danish entrepreneurs Hans Høite Augustenborg and Andreas Kofoed Sørensen have launched Birdie, an indoor air quality monitor that successfully completed a Kickstarter campaign. The device is designed to make invisible air quality issues visible.

When CO2 levels exceed the recommended health threshold of 1,000 ppm, the Birdie device figuratively ‘faints’ to alert users. The creators aim to encourage better ventilation habits, as poor indoor air quality is linked to headaches and reduced concentration. The project was developed by the duo during a two-month leave from their respective careers in advertising and banking.
