Birkenstock and Etro launch first footwear collaboration

Birkenstock and Etro have launched their first footwear collaboration, following an initial presentation at Etro’s Fall/Winter 2026 runway show during Milan Fashion Week. The collection integrates Etro’s decorative aesthetic with Birkenstock’s functional construction.

The debut release focuses on two iconic Birkenstock silhouettes: the Boston clog and the Gizeh thong sandal. The designs feature Etro’s signature Paisley motifs, embroidery, long fringe, and Western-inspired hardware, including custom buckles and rivets featuring the Etro Pegasus symbol.

Both models utilize Birkenstock’s anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed, which is fully covered in tonal leather. The outsoles combine Birkenstock’s bone-pattern tread with Etro’s Paisley motif. The collection uses a color palette of taupe and chocolate tones with metallic accents.
