Birkenstock and Repetto launch ballet‑inspired sandals, quickly selling out

Birkenstock has partnered with French ballet‑shoe maker Repetto to release a limited‑edition collection of three sandal and clog styles – the Arizona sandal, the Scala clog and the Opéra clog. Each model is offered in three colourways described as baby pink, glossy black and patent red, blending Birkenstock’s classic cork‑latex footbed with Repetto’s ballet‑inspired detailing such as oversized buckles, delicate straps and optional ribbon laces.

The collaboration, dubbed a hybrid of “granny shoes” and “balletcore,” launched online this summer and has already begun to sell out, with the Arizona sandals still partially in stock while the Scala and Opéra models are scarce. The range is marketed as a seasonal fashion statement, appealing to consumers seeking comfort combined with runway‑style aesthetics.
