Birmingham police investigate stabbings and shooting
West Midlands Police are investigating two separate violent incidents in Birmingham involving stabbings and a shooting.
On August 25, a disorder in the West Heath area left two teenagers hospitalized with stab wounds. A 15-year-old boy was treated for injuries on Grimley Road, while a 16-year-old boy was found injured in Redgate Close. Three individuals, including two 16-year-olds, have been taken into police custody on suspicion of wounding.
In a separate incident on August 23, a 20-year-old man, Rowan Youngsam, was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and wounding with intent following a shooting in Digbeth. The shooting occurred near Luna Springs after a disorder spilled out from an events venue, leaving a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. The injured man is also under arrest on suspicion of violent disorder, and a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and knife possession.
