Birmingham wedding venue targeted in petrol bomb attack

Three individuals dressed in black launched a petrol bomb attack outside the Royal Shalimar wedding venue in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, on the evening of August 19. The incident occurred around 8:30 PM while approximately 500 guests were attending a wedding celebration.

According to reports, five petrol bombs were thrown; three were directed toward people outside the venue, and two were thrown at a row of parked luxury vehicles. The attack ignited a Lamborghini and a McLaren, causing guests to flee in panic. Witnesses noted that the projectiles landed dangerously close to bystanders, including children and a baby.

Venue staff used fire extinguishers to contain the flames before emergency services arrived. West Midlands Police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage, which reportedly shows the suspects fleeing the scene in a white Volkswagen Golf. While the attack caused significant property damage and alarm, no injuries were reported.
