Birr Castle enters $139,000 International Stallion Stakes

Birr Castle, the Grade 1 Jim Doherty Memorial winner, is set to compete as the odds-on favorite in the International Stallion Stakes at The Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky. The 2-year-old trotting filly has earned approximately $500,000 and has not finished lower than second in her seven career starts.

She will compete in the first of two $139,000 divisions for trotting fillies on Friday, October 9. Driven by Scott Zeron and trained by Marcus Melander, Birr Castle will start from the outermost post in a seven-horse field that includes stablemates Sabia, Love’s Passion, and A Tale Of Kemp.
