Bisbal del Penedès Council Approves Major Sports Facility Upgrade

The local government of Bisbal del Penedès has authorized a €2.593 million project to expand and modernise its municipal sports complex. The plan includes constructing a new gymnasium with two fitness halls, two activity rooms, a jacuzzi pool, and a 190 m² indoor climbing wall, as well as an outdoor bouldering area. Three open-air padel courts with glass enclosures and new changing rooms for the football field will also be built.

The development will be carried out in three phases: the first phase covers the main gym building, fitness and activity spaces, and the basic climbing structure; the second phase adds the padel courts and completes the climbing installations; the final phase focuses on upgrading the football field facilities and surrounding public spaces. The project is currently in the public exposure stage before tendering.
